This fantastic 30 year old Islay single malt was distilled at Bowmore and bottled for the Sea Dragon series - an acknowledgment to the image of the mythical creature that adorns the stunning bottle and packaging.
Matured in Bourbon casks for three decades, this natural cask strength 48.9% ABV bottling was released in 2012 especially to commemorate the Chinese year of the Dragon.
It is believed that Kranna Dubh, the Celtic legend of the Sea Dragon, once inhabited Loch Indaal, a sea Loch which is overlooked by the Bowmore distillery, and was slayed by a Scottish warrior who went by the name of Fingal. If you are to believe folklore then the Dragon's dark blood can be seen seeping atop the Loch on certain evenings - though the skeptic might just suggest it to be one of Islay's stunning sunsets!
This is one of just 518 limited bottling's that comes in pristine condition complete with presentation case.
