Glencadam 17 Year Old "The Rather Exquisite" Triple Cask Portwood Finish, 46% abv
Only 2,700 bottles of this superb Triple Cask Portwood Finish edition has been created, by the careful selection of three port pipes. A limited quantity of Glencadam was transferred from Bourbon casks into hand-picked Portwood casks to "finish" the maturation for a number of years. This process of finishing bestows on the whisky refined characteristics, most notably tones of fruity Port sweetness. The time was right to bottle the whisky at 17 years of age when the malt whisky flavour notes had reached harmony with the sweet attributes of the Portwood. The result is a beautifully crafted Glencadam single malt expression.
