Tomintoul Peated Malt is distilled in the traditional manner in the prestigious Speyside Glenlivet Region, and unusually for this district, it is made with Peated Malted Barley to impart a distinctive smoky and heathery flavour.
Colour : Rich gold.
Nose : A waft of heathery smoke balanced with subtle, fragrant floral and sweet tones.
Palate : A barrage of "peat-reek" flavours and Mother Earth with a hint of malty nuttiness.
Finish : A persistent vein of smoke and peat eases to an equipoise with the understated barley sugar.
