Black Bull Special Reserve Batch 2, 50% abv
Descriptions
The second release of Duncan Taylor’s Black Bull Special Reserve, a blended Scotch whisky with a ratio of 75% Single Malt to 25% Single Grain, greater than the industry standard. Blended from selected cask samples from distilleries from all over Scotland aged from 10 to 46 years old, including malt whiskies from Aberlour, Auchroisk, Bladnoch, Benrinnes, Bowmore, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Cragganmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glentauchers, Imperial (since demolished), Linkwood to name but a few, and grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Invergordon. Raisins, gooseberries, blood orange, roasted hazelnuts, and walnuts morphs into toffee fudge, fresh cream, toasted oak, dry spice and a touch of smoke on the nose. Sultanas, orange zest, mango, chocolate orange, and coffee for a creamy and complex palate which finishes long, fruity, and a bit dry.
Only 871 bottles of this release were produced.
