A friend and collaborator of Quaich Bar, this series was inspired by his unrelenting spirit and talent for discovering, selecting, and identifying whisky’s hidden potential. Frankly Speaking…

The Allt-A-Bhainne was one of the first distilleries built in 1975 intended to be operated by computer to run on a lesser manpower intensive operation regime. I can remember it being constructed and thinking that the building seemed a bit out of place in the area where it is situated. However, it now looks rather good with its pagoda shaped kiln tops although they have never served any function. A lovely any-time-of-the-day whisky; delicate, fruity and malty.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fruit and sweet with hints of vanilla and sweet spice.

Taste: Sweet, Seville oranges, light oak, vanilla and ripe bananas.

Finish: Sweet oak, vanilla, citrus, cinnamon spice.
