The Frank McHardy Series (14th Release)
The Frank McHardy Series is exclusively selected by Frank himself for Quaich Bar Signature Reserve Collection and bottled at cask strength. A friend and collaborator of Quaich Bar, this series was inspired by his unrelenting spirit and talent for discovering, selecting, and identifying whisky’s hidden potential. We are delighted to pass these onto you, to share with your friends and loved ones.
Frankly Speaking…
The distillery is situated in the town of Tobermory adjacent to the sea, on the Island of Mull, west coast of Scotland. At one time I owned a yacht and used to sail round the Scottish islands. I always looked forward to visiting the distillery to see what was being produced at the time and, of course, to taste it. The whisky can be described as coastal and has a little salt on the flavour. This 19-year-old refill bourbon hogshead will show Tobermory whisky matured in a cask which fully complements the whisky.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Peaches and ripe apples, sweet with a little hint of cinnamon spice.
Taste: Toffee, Satsuma oranges, ripe dates, touch of peat smoke and sea salt.
Finish: Medium to long finish with fruits dominating but also a little salt in the background.
