The fourth expression in our award-winning Hebridean Series is here after 26 years of maturation. The perfect balance of spicy and sweet with notes of vanilla, toffee, freshly baked cinnamon pastries and toasted malt.

Bottled at 49.2% ABV, the fourth annual release of our Hebridean Series has some noticeable and unexpected differences compared to the younger releases in the series.

Here’s what our Master Blender, Julieann Fernandez, has to say about our 26 Year Old:

“The previous releases in our Hebridean Series have had fruity, floral notes with a creamy sweetness. An additional year of maturation has dissipated this light sweetness and replaced it with spicy woodsmoke and much heavier notes of  dark brown, caramelised sugar, and treacle toffee. This darker sweetness is typical of Bourbon casks, and was unexpected of uncharred González Byass Oloroso Sherry Casks, making it a truly unique dram.”

Nose:

A burst of dark brown sugar fades to reveal fresh strawberries, vanilla fudge, candied ginger and dried sultanas.

Palate:

A perfect balance of spicy and sweet; vanilla, toffee, walnuts and freshly baked cinnamon pastries intertwined with gentle oak and toasted malt.

Finish:

Lingering woody finish with notes of chocolate covered hazelnuts.
