This limited 2004 edition Tomintoul 16 Year Old has been finished in Sauternes wine casks. Only 5,094 bottles have been released.

The Tomintoul Single Malt Whisky is a testament to our master distiller, Robert Fleming, whose family has been making whisky in the Speyside Glenlivet region for four generations.

He has carefully selected the finest Sauternes wine casks from France to finish Tomintoul Single Malt, distilled in 2004, and initially matured in ex-bourbon American Oak casks. The Sauternes casks perfectly complement Tomintoul Single Malt imparting unique flavours, which enhance the citrus fruit and honey character of the whisky.

Nose :
Fragrant aromas of yellow fruits and orange marmalade mingled with ruby grapefruit, lemon drizzle cake and honeysuckle.

Palate :
Tangy and sweet with layers of acacia honey, dried papaya and Galia melon bound with sweet choux pastry, cardamom and soft tobacco spices.

Finish :
Lemon curd and apricot jam fading into a cinnamon, baked apple and toasted oak linger.
